Preparing to Film
Hi everyone! Welcome back to this weeks blog. Today I'm going to be discussing some of the challenging and easier parts of preparing for filming. I will also touch on some of the specifics of our filming process and leave you with some short descriptions.
- Towards the beginning we struggled with communication and making time to come together and work as a whole. Making a script was also quite challenging as we struggled to make a plot line that would flow continuously.
- Our easiest part however was assigning each role to a group member. We played to each others strengths and decided to pick roles dependent on what we can do best.
-Actors-
- Samuel I. will be playing one of the side characters. He is part of the friend group in the scene and will follow our main characters on their journey.
- Brooklynne M. will be playing the protagonist. She is our main focus in the scene and will lead the scene to its climax.
- Madaline V. will be our antagonist. She will lead be the reason of conflict and will follow closely behind our protagonist.
-Costumes-
- Our characters will be dressed casually as normal teenage students. Because of this we will be pulling costumes from our own closets, this will consists of jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, etc.
-Props-
- In our scenes we will be using a couple of different props that we will be pulling from our personal belongings. Bookbags, phones, lip gloss, and a rag.
-Locations-
- We will be filming in two different locations. The first will be in a school bathroom and the second will be at a park, specifically, Wolf Lake park.
-Dates and Times-
- We have decided to film on a weekend since we wont be busy with school. We will film in the afternoon when the sun is out.
-Scripts-
- Currently we have a rough draft of our script and we have been working to finish our final script in the upcoming days.
-Film Equipment-
- To film we will be using a cellphone as well as a tripod. Once filming is completed we will most likely be editing on a laptop.
Well, that's it for todays blog. I hope you were able to grasp a better understanding of our project and dive into the details of our filming process. Thanks so much for tuning it! Catch you in the next one!
