Costuming

Welcome! My teammates and I have been discussing costumes as we finalize our film's opening arrangements. Since the beginning, there have been ideas on what each of our actors will wear. I have added a short description for each character below. Take a look!

Our scene begins by following our characters through their school. Therefore our characters wear what is normally expected as a "teenager outfit." This includes jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, etc.

Protagonist

Our protagonist, Beth is soft-spoken and doesn't stick out from the crowd, despite her being our center focus. She is timid and the way she dresses reflects this. She has long black curls that fall slightly in front of her eyes. She wears dulled neutral colors always paired with a pair of classic Converse.

Antagonist

Our antagonist, Jules, is quite the complete opposite of Beth. She is more outspoken, not afraid to put herself out there, she speaks her mind and her clothes reflect that. Her costume will ideally feature vibrant colors. We specifically want her to wear red, which represents danger and successfully contrasts with the gloomy colors our protagonist will be wearing. She will also be dressed casually, given our characters are about to leave school.

Side Character

Our third character does not play a big role in the scenes. He is friends with the two girls and is seen with them as the story begins to build. His main purpose is to fill space and provide support to the storyline. Due to his small role, his costumes are not as noticeable. He wears monotone colors and basic clothing to ensure no attention is drawn away from our main characters.

Additional Info

Along with their costumes, each of our characters will have a bookbag and a phone. Our two girls will also have makeup as an additional prop.
