Brain Storming and Storyboarding

Welcome back everyone! Over the past two weeks, we have been focused on planning and preparing for the production of our final video. This process has involved assigning group roles, brainstorming a plot, and even starting to draft a script. While it hasn’t been without its challenges—such as minor miscommunications and several plot changes—we’ve finally landed on an idea that everyone is excited about.

Initially, we planned to create a pure mystery centered around a student detective and a school tragedy. However, after further discussion, we felt we could develop a concept that better aligned with our collective vision. Still wanting to incorporate elements of mystery, we decided on a mystery-thriller titled Betrayed Shadow.

Once we finalized the plot, we moved on to brainstorming characters. The story focuses on Beth, a teenage girl who constantly feels as though she’s being watched. Despite our limited two-minute timeframe, we aim to give depth to our characters and develop distinct personalities for each of them. We’ve carefully discussed details like camera angles and how to effectively convey the characters’ emotions and traits.

After a lot of collaboration and compromise, we’ve reached a point where everyone feels confident in the direction of the project. We are excited to begin filming and are eager to share the final product with you! Below I have attached a short mock up of one of our scenes, take a look!
